We miss her every day, but thank the Lord she was a part of our lives as long as she was.

I love the new site.....what a beautiful tribute to a beautiful life. The whole journey Alana and your family has gone and is still going through has been such a blessing already, I am sure it will continue to bless us and you for a very long time! Thank you, Hope, for sharing with the world during one of the most difficult times in your life. God is SO good!!

A Letter to My Sweet Alana

Missing You

Alana, mama will miss you dearly. I will miss holding you and stroking your beautiful hair. I will miss hearing you call my name, “mama” over and over again. I will miss seeing you bounce and scoot on the floor as you moved about the house. I will miss hearing your laughter that filled my heart with such joy. I will miss seeing you dance about as your brothers and sister played their music. I will miss seeing you get excited when “dada” walked in the house from work. I will miss seeing your beautiful smile that made you look like an angel.

Alana, mama will miss you dearly, but I am so very happy you are with Jesus. You are a whole little girl, no longer broken. You are now running on legs that never walked. You can use your beautiful voice that has been silenced for four months. Your little front teeth that used to stick out, which made all who new you laugh, are now perfectly straight. I couldn't imagine your smile being anymore perfect than it was before.

Alana, mama will miss you dearly. You have changed my life forever. You have shown me how to love Jesus more than I already did. You have shown me how to trust Him fully. Because of your struggles, it has shown me that God is in control of all, from the beginning to the end. Because of your struggles, it has shown me how to pray in a more sincere way. Because of your struggles, it has shown me how good God is.

Alana, mama will miss you dearly. There will be an empty space in my heart till I see you again. I am honored and blessed to have been your “mama”. You were a gift given to me by God but for a short time. I will carry you in my heart for a lifetime.

Alana, mama loves you. I am glad Jesus is holding you now.
